＜Research Activities＞
Our laboratory aims to elucidate the causes of and develop treatments for genetic diseases, particularly neurodegenerative diseases.
We have recently identified the causative gene of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA). Our reports will contribute greatly to understanding the pathogenesis of this disease.
＜Recruiting＞
Our laboratory is looking for graduate students who are interested in and enthusiastic about these researches.
Any background is welcome.
The laboratory is fully equipped with all the necessary equipment for experiments, and you can also use state-of-the-art equipment such as next-generation sequencers at the joint laboratory facility.
Even if you have no previous experience in experiments, we will provide you with very detailed guidance so that you can develop your own research theme in the future.
